Goal for the week!

My husband is pretty busy on Saturday so I think I am going to make this cute summery wreath found on Rachel Denbow's blog!

Back Again.

I am hoping that I will be able to blog a little more since school has calmed down and Matt will be leaving soon for a couple of weeks.  I also hope to post a few of my favorite vintage finds in my house and also maybe a house tour.

I love that summer is coming...warm air, picnics, evening walks, sweet smells and so much more.

The Next Episode...

So I'm thinking about putting a little more time into my blog.  I'm thinking maybe doing a "whatcha wearin wednesday", "weekly bible reading", and something else but I don't know yet.  I've always had the feeling that I could always be doing something better than reading blogs but I feel if I incorporate some meaning into it then it could be really beneficial.  I really don't have a whole lot of time for a blog right now but I feel like it gives me a place to get away for a bit and it's something I've really started to enjoy.  Hopefully I can make this into a neat place for readers to come and find some rad things that make them happy.
Also, my husband and I have been talking about starting an online store for some of the things I've been making on Big Cartel but that may be a while down the road.  We thought since he will be gone so much in the summer it would preoccupy my time a bit.

Here are some bows I made today. :)
PS I'm so done with school.  It stinks aka not so rad. :(

Joyeux Anniversaire!

Today is the birthday of a woman who is very special to me and I wanted to write a blog about her.  She has known me since I was 12 and I have babysat her children since then.  She has two wonderful little girls named Jalen and Ally that are so special to me.  She was my d-group leader in high school, was a part of my wedding, and has been with me through so much of my life.  She lets me crash at her house when my hubby is on the road and feeds me some good cookin'!  I love her so much!  Happy Birthday Heidi! You're wonderful and I don't know what I'd do without you and your awesome family.

Doesn't she have a super cute family?

I had such sweet flower girls.

They've grown up so much since then. :( Makes me sad.

PS I'm so excited to give her birthday present to her!!! Eeeek.

I love you Heidi and hope you had a good day!

V-Day Crafts. {Cute & Simple}

I know I'm a little late but I wanted to share a couple of the crafts I did for Valentines Day.
These were bracelets I made as valentines for my loved ones.  Tutorial here.

I found this book at an old flea market on the highway for $2 with this craft in mind. Oh and it was signed by the author which I thought was pretty rad.  (I did check to see if it would be worth anything and couldn't find any worth.)

This heart garland was very simple.  I cut out hearts from an old book and then sewed them right down the middle.  You have to double up the hearts or else the pages may tear. Cute & Simple
This was just a little calendar I picked up at Target and did some redecorating to it. :)

picnic.

Today God blessed us with a beautiful day to enjoy and be thankful for.
Matt and I enjoyed our day by going on a picnic.  We enjoyed some sandwiches from a local shop, took them to a near by walking trial, and sat by the creek.  We had so much fun enjoying nature and each other.  There were so many people out today which was refreshing to see.  We also spent the afternoon with friends playing soccer, well I didn't play, I watched/cheered from the sidelines with my friend Megan.

We also found lots of neat foot prints.  What do you think one is?
